ECHO 20: shell kit or finished module for a US site?

By Glamping Tiny Cabins ·

ECHO 20 is offered as a shell kit and as a finished module. The distinction changes what arrives at your site and how much work your contractors must complete. When requesting a US quote, name the format you want and ask which delivery and installation services it includes. Supplier reference.

What the manufacturer lists

The following supplier specifications were checked on September 29, 2026. They describe the source product, not a site-specific US specification. Areas are converted to square feet and rounded to the nearest square foot; dimensions are converted to feet and inches and rounded to the nearest inch. Use current dimensioned drawings for project planning.

The Shell listing includes the structural frame, exterior enclosure components, glazing and roof. It excludes insulation, interior finishes, electrical and plumbing, heating and ventilation, interior partitions and furniture. A furnished plan does not establish what is supplied.

ECHO also lists a separate Seasonal Turnkey offer for two guests, described for spring, summer and autumn. It ships assembled, with interior fit-out and services. Its stated exclusions include transport, taxes, packaging, foundations, site installation and the air conditioner or heat-pump unit. Manufacturer specifications and delivery scope.

Put each quote into the same worksheet

For your own comparison, ask every quoting party to complete the same scope sheet. Give each item an owner and a price basis. A blank cell is a question to resolve before you compare totals.

Do not assign an assumed cost to an unanswered item simply to make the spreadsheet balance. Mark it “not quoted” and ask for a response. This also gives you a useful way to compare a revised offer against the original without losing track of scope changes.

The GTC ECHO 20 page is the starting point for a project enquiry. Request a proposal for the actual destination rather than converting a supplier's advertised euro price into a US opening budget.

Test the layout against the stay you want to sell

Use the current dimensioned plan for a practical guest-use review. Mark where luggage will go and how the bathroom door opens. Check the route between the bed and the entrance with the intended furniture in place. Then repeat the exercise for cleaning: where will supplies wait, and can someone change the linen without moving furniture?

For a more tangible check, tape the important dimensions onto an empty floor. Treat that as a furniture and circulation exercise, not a substitute for professional design review. Record the questions it raises and send them with the enquiry.

If the brief changes to a larger guest group, compare the proposed layout with BRO6 and Pitched. Ask for the same scope sheet for each. The full cabin collection gives you the current GTC model names.

Questions before requesting an ECHO 20 quote

Which configuration should I put in the enquiry?

Name ECHO 20 and state “shell kit,” “finished module,” or “please compare both.” Add who you expect to manage work at the destination. If that person or contractor has not been appointed, say so; the proposal should not silently assume that you have an assembly team.

Can I use a supplier drawing as the final US plan?

Use it to describe what you are considering. Ask the project team to identify the drawing revision and the documentation required for the selected site and intended use. This guide does not establish an approval or certification for a particular cabin.

Should I assume a winter specification?

No. Describe the operating season and location in the enquiry, then request the proposed envelope and heating specification for review. Do not infer climate suitability from a photograph or a model name.

Does a UNIKO version mean the source cabin is already a Park Model?

GTC treats the UNIKO Park Model version as a separate project requiring its own engineering and documented compliance review. Ask which version is actually being quoted. Delivery or installation alone does not establish that status. GTC model scope.

Request a quote for your site

Use the GTC quote form to select ECHO 20, the destination state and the number of units. In the project notes, add the intended operating season and whether you are comparing the shell or a finished-module proposal. If you have not chosen a site yet, say that explicitly so the remaining assumptions can be recorded.
